Red face Inverter & Converter - Pros and Cons?

I am a new member, 2014 3155 Montana tow vehicle 2014 ram crew cab, 6.7 with full size bed. The question I have is about inverters and converters pro and con. I have the stock converter. It seems all most all of the posts I've read are about inverters.

You are talking about Apples and Oranges

Converter --- Converts 120VAC to 12VDC

where as an Inverter Converts 12VDC to 120VAC

Which one depends on what you are trying to achieve

Oh and By the Way

to the forum! Your question might be better posed in the technical section.

Two totally different animals.

Most trailers/RV's come standard with a converter... to convert 120v to 12v and charge the battery(s).

Inverters convert 12v power to 120v, usually DON'T come installed from the factory.

What do you want to know/do?
