Cougar 32RLI
I’m looking at getting a 32RLI, but can’t find one in stock with the auto leveling system. I really wanted that feature. They have power jacks on it instead. Can anyone tell me how the electric auto leveling system works? Does it just level the unit front to back, or a full level including side to side like a hydraulic system on a fifth wheel? Thanks for any info.

Welcome to the forum! I don't have auto leveling but it will be on my next trailer. Others with more expertise will chime in but the electric self leveling does the same as the hydraulic; left/right, front/rear. It might be with 4 jacks instead of 6 but it does basically the same thing from what I've seen demonstrated. Good luck finding the unit you want.

Auto leveling levels front to back and side to side. We unhook from the truck, hit the auto level button and start hooking up utilities. Usually takes less than a minute for the system to signal that it’s finished and level. If you camp a lot, it’s a must have for it’s simplicity and efficiency.

Mine levels fully. I traveled 1,800 miles round trip to get the trailer I wanted.
If you're like us the auto level just might save your marriage.

As I read this post I kept asking myself...Why would the OP not get a fifth wheel? It would come with the leveling system and would be sooo much easier to tow, along with all the better handling characteristics.

When I saw the auto level at the show 5 years ago I knew I had to have it. Upgraded to the Cougar the following year and the 3.0 leveling system was standard. Works great, couldn't be happier. DW and I have a race to see if I get set up by the time she has drinks made

Frank, I have to throw this out; not everyone WANTS a 5th wheel - or needs it. I can buy anything I want but we did so much due diligence on our current trailer, and totally lucked out, that we've looked for 2 years thinking a "5th wheel" is going to take us to another level. Ain't found it yet.
For us, a 5th wheel is not "the cat's meow", just extra expense, floorplans we don't like and what feels like a drop in quality in most anything short of a Montana....and even then it's questionable to us. So, long story short, a 5th wheel fits for someone that needs/wants a 5th wheel; it's not better, nor are they better quality than many TT; just a different format for a tow behind.

I had the 2018 Cougar 32RLI, and it came with the auto-levelers. When I traded it in for a 2019 Cougar 34TSB, auto-leveling was no longer "standard" on the Cougars, but power stabilizer jacks were. My research found that Lippert was giving Keystone a really good deal on the leveling system that year in order to "get the word out on them." Once that was done, the promotional price to Keystone was eliminated. So, with my new Cougar 34TSB, I had to have mine built with the auto-leveling system. I had to wait about 6 weeks to get it. The cost of adding it was $1,400 (i.e., in place of the power stabilizer jacks).
