Raptor 332ts inverter install

There is not a lot of room on this trailer in the front compartments and I am looking to install an inverter and would like to know if installing it in the front compartment on the wall behind the propane tanks is violating some DOT or other regulation or if it would be a safety problem being mounted in that location. I would also like to move the transfer switch to the same location.
