Replacement Furniture

The wife and I just returned from a 51 day trip to Alaska, 6,000+ miles. Besides a broken windshield, there was another casualty. The base on one of the swivel rockers came apart, I mean literally. The other chair has lost a couple of screws and feels like it's going to bite the dust soon. It's not worth it to complain about Keystone's cheap furnishings, I just intend to go to a furniture store and get something a little sturdier. I'm a bit limited due to the fact that whatever I buy needs to fit through a 24" wide door. Anybody have a similar experience like this? BTW, the trip was wonderful! Our first "big one" and it'll be hard to beat. The Laredo towed like a dream!

We just put La-Z Boy recliners in our Outback, but the I have to question the $200 price. Where can you buy La-Z Boys for $200?

After a bit of online research I discovered Bradd & Hall in Indiana, the heart of RV country. They are a distributor for RV & marine furnishings and offer a ton of high-quality chairs, sofas, and dining furnishings. A bit pricey, but I'm really tired of cheap stuff falling apart after one year. Found what I wanted, got to choose the fabric and color.
On another note, I was really thinking about getting rid of the Laredo, going to a Jayco Eagle or an Arctic Fox fiver. After careful consideration, I decided to keep what I have. It's comfortable, tows great, I've had zero problems (major) except for minor ones, and why spend another 40K? I've found that almost all RV owners complain about their rigs, not just me. It's not a perfect world, right? Nuff said, I'll get off my soapbox. Next trip, the Oregon coast, after all the kiddies are back in school!

Sounds like a great trip to AK. We did a 30 day trip back in 2005. Had a great time. We replaced the two recliners that came with our 2013Alpine3555rl with a reclining love seat that the backs come off. Makes it easy to move in and out if necessary. We also replaced the sofa with one LB recliner (back comes off it too). It is a wall hugger and is medium is size gives us more room in the living area. We keep the air mattress in case we need another bed.

We love the Alpine and have had almost zero problems at this point. Guess we are lucky and will keep our fingers crossed.

Furniture

we went to our local furniture store and got an Ashley recliner and love seat for our Fuzion 322. i had to stand the love seat on end and spin it around the corner to get it in. the love seat is 66" long and the door is 68" tall so it just fit in.

Replacement Furniture

Hi Jim,

We plan to replace the furniture in our Laredo 5th Wheel. We want to put some quality pieces in the unit and so far shop4seats.com seems to have the best deals. You might want to check it out!

Lane Recliners

I believe most lane recliners allow the back to be removed.
