LP Problem

Hello and thank you in advance for any help. My 2014 Raptor 297 has 2 LP tanks with a manual cross over switch near the right tank. When attempting to switch to the left tank, gas comes out of the small pin sized hole of the pictured red regulator.

Is the red regulator the problem or could it be something else?

Thanks!!

I would bet your red regulator is shot. Try turning the manual switch to the left tank BEFORE you open the tank valve. Then SLOWLY open the valve, if it still leaks it's time to replace it.

And don't even think about just bypassing the red regulator. It is there for safety reasons, even though some will argue about that.

Agree with the above. We 'lost' a full tank of propane due to our red regulater leaking. Something like $15 to replace. Use yellow Teflon tape. The parts guy where I bought the regulator said they had seen a lot of these OEM regulators fail.
