fau starts ac fan

We have a Cougar 323 MKS 2012 and have used it lots. Recently while in colder climate and when starting the heater the ac (fan only) come on also. Did not used to do that. I suspect faulty thermostat but before randomly changing out parts does anyone have a suggestion? Thank you.

Is your fan setting on "AUTO" ? Do you have a heat strip in your A/C???

not on auto. I guess I'll find out what a heat strip is. Another search turned up a manual kinda sounded like a setting issue it just seems weird since we have been using it a couple of years now and just started. However I had just had the rig serviced 20k wheel berrings etc and said while your at it go ahead and service the appliances. Maybe they changed something I'll find out. We are in hotter area and use the AC more. Thanks I am still learning.

Just try switching it to Auto and it should clear up your problem. Weird thing happen running the heater in the other settings.
