Changing a window in Fifth wheel?

Im looking to change a window in my fifth wheel 2019 Keystone 315RLS. the window in question is the window above the range right now it doesn't open. it would be nice to be able to open it. So my question is it something i could handle?

If you can find a window with the same shape and dimension frame, it will be fairly easy. If you can’t find one the same then I wouldn’t attempt it. The sides of the trailer are one piece and the holes for the windows are “framed”. IMO cutting the framework to fit a window is asking for trouble.

If you look at any RV window, you’ll see screws through the inside frame. They grab the outside frame and pull the window tight against the sidewall. That rigid frame is needed to keep things “tight” ( waterproof).

There are quite a few windows listed on Trekwood, and maybe you will see one that works. There many pages at this link, just click the 'Next' button at the lower right to go to the following pages.

This is just a guess, but if the window is in direct vertical alignment with the stove top then maybe it doesn't open for a reason. Most likely they don't want to be liable for someone reaching over a pan of frying bacon to open or close the window.

Or they don't want wind to blow in the window, potentially blowing out the burner flame, causing a "explosive gas leak".....

get to a dealer to order a replacement. you can't order from keystone and I suspect they won't be able to tell you what the window size is either. the dealer can get that info though.

I doubt the dealer can get that information easier than the customer.

Chuckster correct me if I'm wrong but the windows, storage doors are/were manufactured by Kinro, probably another Lippert owned company, try contacting them. The emergency window handle broke off of mine & that's who I contacted for a replacement, they had great customer service & sent me a handle free of charge.
The problem with Trekwood is their prices & even worse on shipping cost.

More than likely, There should be a printed label on the glass that says brand, and some other numbers that probably designate the size and shape.
