It really does not matter what others use. Your vehicle/load and trailer will be just yours. You need to see what works best. With the vehicles hooked up ready to camp, inflat til the truck is level. Test it, to much bounce is to high. If your going from high mountains to sea level type travel the psi will need to be adjusted as you travel. For me I know how my vehicle handles and when there is to much psi it bounces like having a beach ball inflated on the axle. To feel that ride, while empty, air up and drive around the block and you should get my point. If your way over my your gross weight rating the bags will or may not help.
Edit: I double checked your tow vehicle, make sure the tires are not "P" like on most 1/2 tons. To tow a heavy load you want "LT" tires.
