Winter Storage

I winterized with care.
Cleaned and lubed.
Spread dryer sheets everywhere.
Now my TT is locked in a tight and secure building for the winter.
Why do I have this urge to go visit it? Just to check.

And why do we always feel like we forgot something?

Re: Winter Storage

What? Are you saying I forgot something?
Actually, I left my best cargo pants in the TT.

Re: Winter Storage

Dryer sheets for mouse prevention is an old myth that just won't die! Several years ago I worked as an exterminator and used to find mouse nests made of chewed up dryer sheets. Might make your RV smell good, but if mice get in you've just supplied them with nesting material.

I haven't winterized yet.. hoping for one more.. BUT,, Why do I have this urge to go visit... Don't feel bad...last year after I got winterized, cleaned, and covered.. I went by the storage lot once or twice a month to visit..AND every once in a while I had a big fat juicy burger while I sat there and looked her over... lmao...

Re: Winter Storage

I was just out in mine, the wife needed something and I knew we had it out there. Easier than going to the store.

Re: Winter Storage

We winterized two weeks ago thinking it was over for the season only to see 70 deg forecast for this Sat. So...
...I'll be reapacking the wheel bearings Sat instead of waiting untill spring. Seems natural to rethink everything before the long winter's nap.
