I do like those bikes from Austria , and if you remember I said those F450's are awesome a couple of months ago when you got it. My sense of humor is suspect though. No more on this forum.

Sometimes it's hard to say what you mean in writing. Things get misunderstood. I admit I took your comments the wrongg way. Then I watched the videos and now I get it. Raunchy, but funny lol!

I knew you were just messing around and so was I, totally kidding. The videos were funny, at least I thought they were. I never take anything on a forum seriously and part of the fun is joking around and harassing each other. We are down to two KTM's right now. Son moved up from 85's to a 125 and I'm still riding my 250SX.

So last October 2015 I picked up my new 2015 F350 SRW 6.7D over the Winter the DW decides that we need a Bunkhouse or a Toy Hauler so that she can have a place to Sew (shes a Quilter). We went to the Tampa show and looked around she found a Open Range that she liked 44 ft long,18,000lb and a Raptor 42.5 ft 21,000lb. When I ordered it I wanted a DRW and the answer was our 5er is only 12,500lb Why such a big truck? So next October I will take delivery of a 2016 F450 DRW. At least after a year I will break even on a trade in.

Thanks, I have become way too sensitive in my old age. My 342 hauls KTMs only. 500 xcw, 350xcf, and a couple of older 300's. 2010 and 2011 we made all the rounds of GNCC and enough National Enduros to make both banquets.
Getting off topic but couldn't resist the chance to KTMTALK.

As a few others on here I was under trucked with my ol 2002 F350 CCLB SRW when we stepped up to our current Raptor 4014 LEV 5er. Long story short I came across a super clean Bullet Proof 2006 F550 and what a difference in towing. Bottom line you can never have to much Tow Vehicle......

It's amazing the difference in towing with more Tow vehicle then you need and towing with just enough. I wouldn't ever go back to towing without a dually as long as I have a 5er.

Me, too. It works, but if we went any bigger on the trailer (not likely), we'd probably get a Dodge dually.

I saw an f350 dually pulling a 5th wheel and a car. I talked to the gentleman and he has been towing that set up for a couple of years. He is a full timer and loves the convenience of the car. He also said he has never been pulled over by the law and if he was pulled over he would disconnect and have his wife drive the car. I have seen a 5th wheel connected to a boat but first time seeing a car being pulled this way.

Just completed my first long trip with my F450. There's just no comparison between a SRW and a DRW truck towing a 5th wheel. The 4.30 gearing is pretty amazing in the hills of East Tennessee. Exhaust brake works really well and I've hardly had to use any brakes on the long downgrades and at times had to disengage the exhaust brake due to it working so well. Most of the trucks where I'm staying at in Tennessee are DRW, several F450's here also. Fords are dominant, RAM next, but there's a white Chevy here that might be the best looking DRW truck here. It is tricked out with some great looking wheels that look like they would cost a fortune. Best looking aftermarket wheels I've seen on a dually, really the only ones I've liked at all.

Like C130, I just completed my first long trip with our new DRW, which we first pulled with a SRW. Both are F350s, but the SRW was a short bed whereas the DRW is a long bed. There are also differences in year and engine, but both have the 3.73 rear end and are 4x2. That said, the DRW is just more stable towing our 15000 lb. Raptor. No more "tail wagging the dog". I won't willingly go back to a SRW for any big trailer.

SRW verses DWR

Towed with both DRW and SRW dual is the only way to go. When you tow with the DRW it's sit back and relax.

I have 1500 miles in the trailer now with 1000 coming the last three days towing from Virginia to the Midwest. I ordered my truck in sig last year and love it....however When we get back home I am trading it in and ordering a dually. The mountains and then 7 hours of 40 mph winds and rain showed me i could stand to have more truck
