Saving routes
Does anyone have a system of saving travel routes? I can bookmark routes on Google map but they don't save. I even started a Excel spreadsheet but that is a pain.
Anyone doing something I'm missing?

I like to create them fresh each trip. Let's me look things over and make some changes. Look at the construction etc.
Sorry I know it doesn't answer your question.

If you have a GPS, then some units should be able to save routes for you. Check out the features/options on your GPS.

When I start to enter into the gps an address that I have been to it comes up or I can go to recent items. On bing maps it keeps address that you have used in the past so it sets up the route easy.

I would like to save them on a laptop or iPad. My truck has GPS. Once I decide my route I'm good in the truck.
I will look at Bing.

I really like MapQuest for this. I do a lot of motorcycle riding and there are very specific roads that I like to ride on which are really just old logging trails, fire roads and just roads long forgotten. You can set up your route with MapQuest and then save it onto a Garmin GPS, if your unit will support that function. Also you can share the route on Facebook or other social media so if you want friends or family to help you out on finding points worth seeing along the way. It’s pretty simple to use. But knowing your GPS Unit and its setting for the routing can be more of a problem at times though.

We are able to save trip routes/itineraries using Good Sam's trip planner.

Saving routes
I use microsoft onenote to keep notes for routes. You can also cut/paste in website information/maps. It now runs on laptops, phones, and tablets. If you store the information in the "cloud" you can have access to the information virtually anywhere. Also print for a notebook if you desire, but I try to go paperless.

I have a Bad Elf GPS Pro Bluetooth receiver that has a trip log function. My primary use is for the iPad Foreflight aviation navigation application, but it also works very well for driving depending on your application.
If your iPad has an internal GPS receiver, it will enhance that feature. If your iPad does not have an internal GPS, it will provide a powerful GPS capabilty via the Bluetooth function.
www.bad-elf.com
Amazon it for good pricing.
