Montana 5th wheel

I have a 2004 Montana 36ft. 5th wheel and when I tried to close the black water dump valve the plastic securing the valve cable through the frame broke in two pieces. This piece is threaded and there is a holding nut on the inside of the frame and also one on the outside so that the cable can close and open. Does anyone have a fix for this without whole bottom covering to get at the dump valve itself?

welcome to the forum

I am not aware of any fix other than replacement of the whole assembly. It's not necessary to remove all the coroplast, just enough to gain access.

Your underbelly is most likely held on with 3/8" self tapping screws. Takes about 10 minutes to remove enough to drop the entire front portion. I have layed on the coroplast while I changed valves numerous times.

Maybe someone else has a "trick" I'm not aware of.

You don't have to remove the entire black coroplast underbelly covering. Remove enough of the self-taping screws so that enough of the coroplast "hangs down" allowing you to gain access to the valve.
