Arcadia National Park in Ma

Does anyone have any recommendations for rv parks within 30 minutes of Arcadia Park or Bar Harbour? Looking to visit in July and want to get plans set soon before they are all booked. Thank you in advanced of your suggestions.

Hi there. It is actually Acadia, not Arcadia; that might make searching a bit easier

Here is a website that shows campgrounds near a city:

Have a good time!

my wife and I stayed at Narrows too campground last year for a week. Great location, nice campground. Caters to the larger rigs, our 37 ft 325srx was the smallest on our row. If you don't have a driver, verify right with the office because whoever designed the campground did it so ALL the sites face the water. There are some site you need to go nose first in!!

Otherwise a great place!!

Thank you for your help. Apparenty the iPad doesn't like Acadia and auto corrects it to Arcadia.
The websites are really helpful.

And it's ME not MA if you're talking about Maine and not Massachusetts. ;-)

We stayed in Trenton, only 12 miles from Acadia at Timberland Acres RV Park. Nice park and about 1/2 the price of the parks that are nearer Acadia or Bar Harbor. We stayed a month so the $60 a night at the closer parks was way too much. There is even free bus service to the park and Bar Harbor.

We stay at the Oceanside KOA. No it's not cheap...but the sites are big and easy to get in and out. While there we looked at the other CG's and they looked like rows of firewood all stacked on top of each other!

July and Aug are the busiest months and you should book ASAP to get in for this year!

We stayed at the Oceamside KOA in Sept last year. Loved it. We stayed on site 362. Sunsets were stunning there. The other sites in the center of the CG were too close together IMHO. See attached sunset pic. Group was all adults. I didnt see a lot there for kids...pool, etc. There were other CGs on the island that might be better suited for kids. But for a place to chill with a great view the waterfront sites are tremendous! Staff was very helpful even though it was end of season for them.

Nice and quiet.

The ocean front premium wooded lots are the ones to get.

Here is review I did after staying in Trenton, ME

There are a number of campground options when parking near the attractions near Bar Harbor, Maine. The one we used last time there was the Timberland Acres RV Park. Like almost all of the CGs up in that part of the country it’s very family oriented with amenities to fit family needs.

Out in the back section where we parked, the pull thrus are huge, level and roomy. We got a very generous military discount there making it just that much more desirable for us. It was our home base for two weeks. Not mentioned in the CG web page is the fact that the Walmart is less than a mile away and free parking for the free shuttles to Bar Harbor and Arcadia National Park are just a short distance down the road. Also on the same road is the - must go to - Trenton Bridge Lobster Pound.

For the first day of our stay we had most of the back section to ourselves. Then they started showing up. Hitchhikers, we were surrounded by them. Over the next few days more than 40 of them showed up. They even had a Hitchhiker rep traveling with them. They were all part of a large Hitchhiker club from Texas and were staging up for a caravan tour of New Brunswick & Nova Scotia.
