Remodeled 2009 Fuzion 403

Here are some pics of the remodel we recently did to our 403 Toy Hauler.
It can still haul two bikes as well as give us substantial expanded living space.
I will put up more photos in a second post

Remodeled 2009 Fuzion 403 part two.

More photos of our 403 remodel.
We wanted more living space so we incorporated the "garage " area into the main salon by removing the sliding door, matching the flooring, and installing new cabinetry to make a dining table and to cover the wash/dryer.
Not having the dining table in the main salon opens up the floor space tremendously. We can still seat four , at two different locations , for sit down eating.

We also took up the carpet in the salon and replaced it with Allure flooring from Home Depot.

The existing tops were re finished with a coating product from Diach Products.
It transformed the outdated formica into a fully contemporary highlight of the remodel. The surface finish is epoxy and extremely durable.

The strips on the floor are only for when we bring in the slides. They protect the floor from scratching. They are not on the floor when the slides are out.

Where id we get?

The small two drawer unit hung from the side of the island is from Ikea.
We found a Cherry vinyl "foil" on line that we covered the cabinet with.
The top of the drawer unit was done with the same countertop treatment as the main top.

The upper wing top is again from Ikea and coated with the same countertop finish. The wing supports are also from Ikea however I had to fabricate them out of two smaller sets to get the height.

The small drawer cabinet was $69.00. The wing shelf, less than $20.00, the two wing supports less than $25.00.

The vinyl "foil" covering for the two drawer cabinet was $25.00
The support brackets holding the two drawer cabinet up were $5.00 each.

Not shown in the photos are two extra silverware drawers in the stock base cabinet to the right of the sink. Originally there were only two deep drawers in that base cabinet. Now there are the two original drawers plus two 4" drawers.

Did you have to adjust the slide outs when you took out the carpeting?

adjust slides?

No, the new flooring was not as thick as the old carpet. (if that is possible?)

I did fabricate "skid strips" to ensure the bottom of the slide, and all the road contaminants it picks up, did not scratch the new floor. These strips are only laid down when we retract the slides. The large slide strips are 1/8"aluminum, the kitchen slide strips are 1/4" X 1 1/2" pine strips.
