downloading from POI site

I'm trying to download the Low Clearance file from the POI site to my Rand Mcnally RV ND 7710 I can downloar the file but when I try to transfer to the GPS I get a file format error. My PC is Windows 7.

Has anyone had this problem

CSV, I believe that is the format. The other is for Garmin POI's.

you need csv format and that file is in gpx format.

try

http://www.gps-data-team.com/convert.php

for something to convert from gpx to generic csv

Once you convert to .csv you can also open with Excel and make changes to the alert distance and audible warning if you want. Just be sure to save the modified file as .csv and not .xls or .xlsx. (don't ask me how I know this) Some GPS do not accept .mp3 so you may need .wav files for audible alerts.

Also ... warnings are given by coordinates (lat & lon) and not hwy so you may be on the overpass that causes warning for hwy that passes under. (if that makes sense)
