I blew 3 power kings then I researched the wonderful world of "china bombs" here's why I like LT'S they are rated for interstate speeds and yes I roll those speeds. ST tires are rated for 65 mph MAXIMUM speed and that isn't sustained speeds.
yes st tires have a higher load carrying capacity. but I have weighed my rig several times. the 245/75 -16E's ( note: this size has about the same ride height as a st 235/80-16e) are rated at 3045 lbs. that is just over the 6000 lb axle rating. the actual combined axle weight is 14000 (fully loaded with a 900cc bike and a 800cc trike on board. 14000/6= 2333 per tire.
if you don't plan on going over 65mph and need the st carrying weight then I have heard good things about maxxis tires.
btw I now have a leaking aluminum rim. next change steel rims.
