Just finished a 5 day trip to Cherrystone Campground in Cape Charles Virginia. Overall this campground gets an 8 out of 10 from me. There were tons of amenities that we did not fully get to utilize because I took the kids fishing an crabbing every day. The pool and mini water park were excellent as well. Staff was freindly and having a produce/seafood stand onsight was a plus. The Views were amazing of the bay. The only reason that I could not give this place a 10 out of 10 was that it rained and the entire campground was under water. I have camped before and it has rained (something as a camper you learn to deal with), but I had about three inches of standing water all around my camper. When we called maintenance they at least tried to help by putting down wood chips which helped a little. They need to have the campground levelled. Please understand that I consider this important, but minor in the overall review, so much that we reserved a site for next year (just up on a little higher ground).
