Wildfires in Oregon causing Park closures

Wildfires in Oregon causing Park closures.
The wildfires in western Oregon have affected several State Parks.

Collier Memorial now closed for the season. Some fire damage to park, word has it the Logging Museum was saved by Firefighters.

Detroit Lake, In fire zone evacuated closed until further notice.

Silver Falls, Fire in area threatening, closed until further notice.

Cape Lookout, Power out trees down, closed until September 10th.

Oregon and Washington have been hit by a two day high wind event, not helping at all.

California is burning too. Makes it hard to work, feel like your at a campfire all the time. One fire here was started by a gender reveal party.

We were evacuated from Barton Park yesterday, shortly after Milo McIver State Park was evacuated.

We've been to 7 Feathers many times. Great RV park. We stop there for the night on our way to Lake Shasta for our annual camping/boating trip. The kids loved it when we would have a local Italian restaurant deliver pizza to our site. After pizza they would hit the indoor pool for a bit.

If you are passing by on I-5, its a great place to spend a night

We've camped at Barton a couple of times. Sorry to hear it's in the way of the fire. It's a really nice campground.
Our kids are in Milwaukee, OR. Stage 1 there. Folks from Molala are evacuating to areas closer to Portland. Emergency measures are putting folks in shopping center parking lots with their RVs
Hoping they get this under control quickly!

Winds are dying down today and should be mostly gone tomorrow. That will help a lot. The winds keep changing direction as well so it's a bit of a crap shoot. Also a little rain in the forecast for next Tuesday...may or may not help. I think Barton dodged it for now.

This is a first for us since fires have historically not been this close to town.

We were parked on the FIL’s property above North Fork, CA, and got the pre-evacuation notice on Saturday. All the kids and grandkids helped us load up before they headed out and we moved our rig down to the FIL’s current house near Coarsegold. We have been on a pre-evacuation warning even here for a couple of days. Will be heading out in less than a week to get out of California. The property we were on this past weekend was the location of a fire on Labor Day Sunday in 2017 that burned down his home, barn, and everything else on the property. We found out that the caterpillar crews have been using his property as a staging site and they have completely circled it with firebreaks.
