We survived Tropical Storm Beryl

It was ugly last night but things are improving quickly this morning. Had to cut the weekend camping trip a night short but so far no damage found of any consequence around the house. The wind was howling and the rain was torrential around midnight.

Did you get to use your generator? Or are you one of the lucky ones?

Glad to hear that you, and your family are safe!
It is a bummer about the short weekend though, thinking some of those beautiful beach spots might have been just a bit too wet!

Yeah, I leave south FL to get away from those pesky tropical storms and hurricanes and now it has rained 2 full days from Beryl..........

Glad everyone is okay.

I hate to see everyone make those reservations a year out - only to get rained out!

Jo

We survived as well

We're loacated on the Southside of Jacksonville and usually get some flooding in our area. The creek rose but didn't overflow into the yard. Had a transformer ark 5 times Sunday morning, but only lost power for a few minutes. We were indeed very lucky as some are still without power and the flooding was worse in other areas of town.

We were fortunate. Power never out more than a few minutes. Some places in town are still out as of this morning.
