Slide Motors Weak?

I have noticed that on my kitchen slide the motor moves the slide out with no problem, but is very weak moving it in and usually stops 3-4 times before it will fully retract. Today I noticed the same thing on the main slide. Is this the slide motor or could it be a voltage issue? Mine is a 2015 unit with the original battery so it may not be supplying the required amps to run the slides in. This is happening while plugged into shore power also. Any thoughts? Thanks

The motor reverses direction to "push the slide out" or "pull the slide in". The only difference between the two is the wiring from the switch to the motor. I think I'd first check the switch and wiring.

Is the slide system cable driven? Are you level? Does the motor work fine going out but "growl" as it comes in then stops? Have you looked at your seals around the slides to make sure they aren't binding (dirty) when retracting? Have you cleaned the seals and lubed/303d them? What kind of battery maintenance have you done? Are they full (and been kept full) and in good shape?

Lots of things can cause a slide to "slow down" or bind. You will need to investigate, and isolate, the problem. At 4 years old any of the things above, plus what John mentioned, can cause you problems.

Explain - "Have you cleaned the seals and lubed/303d them", please.

Thanks.

Cable driven, level, no growl. However I have never cleaned the seals and notice some "chirping" and hopping when extending the slide. I think the clean/lube suggestion is the one to go with first. What do you recommend that I lube them with?
