DirecTV Vs Dish

Still debating as to which to go with. From what I've read up on the DirecTV boxes, they'll suit our RV's layout better (bedroom has nowhere to put a box without installing a shelf, but there is a line that goes direct from living to bedroom or I could run an HDMI connection between the living and bedroom [which I'm thinking of doing anyway], and need to be able to do different channels at same time in living and bedroom). And, I like that DirecTV has more HD channels, but annoyed that there's very limited choices for a dish that'll work with their HD. From everything I've looked up, though, it pretty much comes down to whether or not DirecTV has a pay as you go option like Dish has. Do they? Or is Dish the only one that has that feature/option?

I think dish is the only one with pay as you go. Do you have one of those services at home? If so, just get a dish on eBay. Then use your home receiver. That way only one bill.

Thanks, that's what I thought. Don't have satellite service at home; travel for work too much to justify a subscription service.

We are currently visiting family in SoCal and watching our Direct TV on THEIR tv using our Direct TV login and Apple TV Airplay. They currently have no connection for TV at their house-only internet. Works great. I watch Direct TV when I travel all the time. iPad, iPhone or laptop.
