Dometic not lighting up.

Dometic DM2872LBFX. WORKED this morning on both electric and gas leaving Pennsylvania. 6 hours later not working no light inside fridge. The panel on fridge for "on" "off" auto. Is not lighting up. Everything else in camper has power. Any help would be appreciated.

Check for 12VDC at the fridge connection, after that, check the fuses on the control panel. You’ll have to take the cover off.

Clarify for a slow person (me). Take the control panel off the refrigerator or the power center?

Thanks! You are the best. Did not know there were fuses there.

Do you have 12VDC at the connection block? It’s the plastic piece that has screw terminals on both sides.

You need either a test light or Volt/Ohm meter. I would use the meter to test for voltage AND go back and test the fuses.

Meter set to DC volts: you should see 12V + on both sides of the connector. Black lead on the negative wire (probably white) and red lead on positive wire ( probably white with a colored tracer). Test at the screws.

If you have 12V then go back to the board and test for continuity. Set the meter to OHMs and put the leads on each side of the fuses. Anything other than 1 is good.
