Water center

I just got my 2021 Alpine 3120RS and took her out for her maiden voyage. Hooked her up and thought all was good. Went to shower in the morning and had low water pressure. Turned on pump and all was good. I didn't think about the pump pulling from fresh water tank. Water pressure at regulator shows good until shower is on. Water fills tank with no problem it seems but won't run shower. It's this normal? I also did have my black tank and one of my get tanks valve mislabeled.

This is our convenience center, and if you can look past the hoses, the valves are in the proper position. We have a water softener, so the blue hose connects to a wye fitting, then over to the softener and then back into the convenience center from above connecting to the city water inlet, which is in the middle. If one of your valves is in the wrong position, that could affect your pressure or if your fresh water hose is connected to the wrong inlet, that will also cause problems. Also, are you using a real pressure regulator or one of those fake regulators that are really only a restrictor? Most of the real regulators will have a gauge and are adjustable, and unfortunately do cost more. The second picture shows the mess behind the wall of the convenience center and the last is the plumbing schematic I drew up years ago, with the blue lines in the pictured valves showing normal flow path of water. Hope this helps.

If you have a water hookup at your campsite, you should have city water pressure at all of your faucets and shower. The way I learned in my driveway was I could hear the water filling the holding tank, so I turned the valve and heard the water stop filling the tank. I then tested the faucets and had city pressure (make sure you're using some sort of water pressure regulator as stated above). After I leaned the difference between city vs. tank, I labeled the valve with sharpie marker for the correct valve orientation. Then I moved to the hot water heater and figured out the valve orientation and labeled it to get hot water. This may seem confusing. When I get home from work I'll post a picture to clarify.

You can see the orientation required for city water vs tank and how i labeled it. Hope that helps.
