What Brent ^^^^said, or the handy dandy 'Arkansas credit card.' A siphon hose WILL go to the bottom, but it takes a little work. Park on a side to side slope and hope for the best.

When I was growing up in Arkansas those were known as Oklahoma credit cards. Not that I know anything about that, of course.

I'm not at all familiar with the priming pump. If it's electric, yeah you might over heat it. I would just drain it or get a siphon going from the cap.

Pump it out it of the tank first. I was surprised how little fuel I pumped from the line going into the carburetor after being pumped . I have 30 gallon fuel tank.
