Airflow Plenum Inventor.

I was fortunate enough to have met Richard and his wife they both ride Indian motorcycles and Run there Buggie with Debra and I. The modification and upgrade to my Coleman AC Will be done today by my friend Richard. The improvements greatly better the airflow. I know they sell fast who doesn’t want a better and quieter AC.

I Put one in my camper last Monday; can't test it yet because my BIL & sis are in my spot and I only have 15A running to the camper parked in our cul de sac.

To install, you basically remove the four bolts that connect lower to upper A/C assemblies, You put inserts into your duct openings and when the guts of the lower are out of the way, put the RV Airflow insert in, put the lower part on and get the four bolts started (hardest part for a short guy like me) and then button it up. The guy I spoke with at the company told me they were coming out with an improved product (the one I bought is heavy styrofoam and the new one is a denser material. The new product will be out early this summer I believe.

I removed the divider. Richard installed insert on each vent with foam gasket, then he pushed the High density Styrofoam into the AC squeezing on the inserts inside the vents . The work took no more than 10 minutes. Styrofoam quieting the AC a lot and I’m saying I got 40 % more cool air out of the vents . I have one coming for the garage AC my cooling problem should be solved.

I installed my second RV airflow in the garage to night. First one Richard installed half the time I did, airflow to the living area increased a lot I could feel the air bellowing out of all the vents in the cabin and bedroom was very comfortable without the noise of the overhead AC. It would have taken hours to get the temperature in the 70s. before I installed the Plenum inserts. I know I’m going to appreciate this improvement Taking my four month trip to Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, and to Tennessee, up north to Michigan in the UP next month. I feel this is the best improvement for comfort with my impact.

Hey roadglide, my wife and I recently purchased the same RV as you, 2015 Impact 311. It's still at the dealer getting serviced before we take delivery. Unfortunately i have no idea what model AC it comes with as its not listed anywhere on the internet that i can find. I was hoping to figure out which rvairflow we should buy that will fit.

Thank you in advance!

Have to admit I was pleasantly surprised at the difference in airflow through my vents which had been taped nicely by myself with aluminum duct tape and I had also installed air vents that turn and can be closed to better direct air flow.

My friend Richard can tell by looking at the shroud and tell what make and size . This is what’s on my impact 1350 column. The 311 impact by Fusion is still good size Toyhuler at 35 ft it makes eligible for most National and state parks it’s heavy at 11500 shipping weight 2700 tongue weight 16,500 pounds GWV it’s got a lot of pay load . The first thing you should do is have G rated tires .

I installed these in all three A/Cs

Bedroom, Loft, and Garage.

I had been thinking about getting these and decided with all the good reviews I'd give it a try. I have an image I'll post here with the results of tests using an anemometer at each vent before and after installation. There isn't much to say beyond what has been reported above. Three kits installed in each of the Coleman Mach 15's. They do what they claim and if anything the results on the RV Airflow web site are conservative(at least in my case). My numbers are in the image.

After the install can you still have a/c come directly down from the unit or is all air now directed into the ducts?

Dometic or whoever they are today used what was called "quick cool" which shut air to the vents and only blew straight down to supposedly cool the air quicker initially when starting up. That is gone because that downward vent is covered. You get much more air from the vents and it does make it feel like my trailer is substantially cooler with the air forced into the vents and makes me feel adding an RV Airflow gizmo was well worth it. I don't have one of those air speed gizmos but just going seat of the pants. Only small drawback is that I installed vents with flaps that open and the vents rotate as the originals did not do either. We often close the vents in the area up the stairs (two of them) and they now "sing" a bit due to more air when closed but we are not up there. At night, if the A/C is on we close the one in the hall and leave the on in the bedroom open and the singing isn't noticeable. Since the A/C will cycle at night here in Texas since temps often will get down into the 70s we leave the A/C on high all the time rather than Auto and thus the noise doesn't change and provides airflow all the time rather than A/C no A/C where air get still and a bit stuffy since all the windows are closed.

With the Plenum you will not be losing any air thru the attic it is all forced out into the vents. In my Fifer there’s one vent in the bedroom closest to the AC that one vent has the strongest airflow and keeps the bedroom comfortable . With your camper being open and the AC more or less centered you need the airflow distributed throughout the rig.
