Crossing Creeks

Fyi, if your passing close to the TN, GA, NC corner, check out this place. This our 2nd trip here. Pool, hot tub, really nice showers, laundry, fitness center, etc. Here is the link. Most spots are owned but rented when not needed. Not like other places where the owners look at renters like they are vermin. Extremely family friendly. Everyone waves and speaks. Beautiful mountain views.

Will post more pics.

Interesting! In our minimal experience RVing, we've never seen "owned" amenities before. Is this a common thing?

We've stayed at a few, generally unbeknownst to us. They can be nicer but more expensive. I liked the looks of this campground and thought about staying there a week before we headed into FL this fall but at 892 a week I'm out.....and most of the things they offer, other than location, I'm not interested in.

Locations that offer the individually owned sites, little cabins, even airbnb RVs for sale/rent are OK but a little different. Not bad, but different. I will say that our experience in those places is better than the campgrounds that cater to the "full time RV livers (not RVers)" that stay there only because they can't stay anywhere else. You get a mixed bag on that.

A good friend owns 2 spots. They often leave their 5er on one of them and rent the 2nd spot . We are here as guests this time ($0 cost). Last time we were guests for a few days, then paid to extend our stay a few more days. This place is nice. Expensive, but nice. I've seen more Entegra and Discovery class A's than anywhere else, but the owners are the nicest I've seen as well.

Oh wow that really is expensive! But looking at the pics, I guess you get what you pay for. We stayed at a place or two with a large population of full timers, and having lived in a more vacation-oriented park for a time... yeah, "mixed bag" is about an apt description.
