RickV, your second picture looks really ugly! What I mean is it appears that the crack goes around three sides of the beam, and then along the top inside corner for a distance! There are some strange forces pulling on that beam!

Wow! Nothing like seeing something real time and "in the moment"! Good pics and thanks - sure looks "broke" to me.

It actually looked worse than the pictures show it was obviously in the shade so the details didn't come through.

It was kinda strange at first I didn't know what the boat was doing it was like they were gonna smack the Pier then it donned my feeble mind where we were.

Did you see the picture of the worker sitting on the girder by the crack? That fault is massive. Wonder where the steel came from, that should not have happened in the time frame. Hopefully they can just replace the girder rivets to rivets but I am thinking there were stresses of unbelievable magnitude and xrays will show more damage. We need to invest in our infrastructure in a BIG way. Think of all we could have done had we not got involved in Afghanistan, and the Trillions spent there over the last 16 years.

Before anyone gets all political about the Afghan statement let me say my son is a 27 year Silver Star Marine, on the road to 30, two tours in Iraq and 4 in Afgh. I am fully aware of what we spent in lives and materials and what we accomplished.
