Raising the height

Good morning from New Zealand
Need advice. I’ve just upgraded to a 2019 RAM 1500. I have a 2012 9metre Springdale with the gooseneck extension.
Due to the RAMS tub height I have level imbalance of the fiver. Probably about 85 to 100 mm.
Most of my “ expert” mates have suggested cutting out the spring hangers and replacing with longer custom made ones.
Your combined knowledge base would be appreciated on this. Be rude if necessary... I’m thick skinned LOL
Cheers

Lippert makes a bolt on lift kit for tandem axle trailers

I can't speak to the quality or durability though.

Cheers... that’s very interesting... appreciated. I’m going to need more that 2 inches of lift tho. But will look into that.

Not sure if it’s allowed in Auckland but could you put a taller profile tire on it ? That might get you a inch or two...larger diameter?

Hi there
Yes it certainly is and it’s in the options list. Maybe a combination of small things is the way to go
Cheers

To safely raise your trailer more than 2" I'd recommend having a shop weld a "box frame" to your existing frame. The spring hangers are removed from the original frame and reattached to the new box frame. Very solid. A welder here, quoted me $1300 to do the complete job. If the DW will open up the ammo locker to the "Buckzooka" I'm hoping to get this done this spring before starting out on another season.

Geoff, I believe that Canonman had probably the safest idea. I also believe that a good welding/fabrication shop might be in order. I'm not sure I'd be raising the RV 4 inches. I'd be inclined to stick in the 2-3inch range.
Can we ask why the need to raise it so high?

The rules for trailer height in most of our states is 13.6". Do you have such rules?
