Pine tar/sap on Roof

Hello all.
Got some small globs of pine tar/sap on the roof and slide roof during our most recent camping. I usually use alcohol on the vehicles to remove this stuff. Does anyone know if alcohol is safe to use on the TPO? And, if not, is their an effective and safe 'removing chemical'?
Thanks

Never heard of TPO roof material. Mostly heard of EPDM rubber roofs. What is TPO? On a EPDM roof, a little diluted bleach will remove tree sap but don't let it run down the sides as it will discolor the fiberglass.

I have no idea if this really works, use at your own risk.

I was going to stay away from mineral spirits since petroleum based and slide roof already replaced once due to gearbox oil leaks.
I particularly want to get the slide roof cleaned as the sticky can't be good for function.

Hand sanitizer works on sap etc, not sure if it would attack the rubber roof, but it does work.
We are parked under the edge of a pine tree and older people told us about it. As far as the roof, I don't bother, to me its extra sealant.

I think hand sanitizer works because of the alcohol.
As far as Rubbing Alcohol on the TPO it appears to be OK and did remove the globs of sap on the slide roof I wanted to clean.
I tested on some of the TPO material hanging inside the holes for the vents and didn't notice any immediate issues. Also, I found a list of compatible cleaners for the roof on the sani dumps web site and it listed alcohol as 'A" compatible. At any rate I used it on the slide roof, it cleaned the sap, I rinsed with water and have seen no ill effects.

instructions on a patch for my roof was to use denatured alcohol for prep cleaning. Available at Walmart in the paint department and labeled as alcohol fuel.

Super! Sounds like the alcohol is good to go and I have had really good luck with it as a solvent for tree sap. I just spot treated the gobs of sap with a rag wetted with the alcohol. It cleaned what I wanted and I have seen no ill effects.
thanks
