How to fill fresh water from a bucket

Not sure how to fill my fresh water with out a garden hose to city water. Any ideas?

Get an RV water pump. Put long wires on it with alligator clips. Hook it to the TV battery with the engine running and pump away!!

Doesn't work that way. When you hook up the hose and turn the valve to "Tank Fill" the water goes through the valve and into a line that dumps into the fresh water tank at the top of the tank.

When you turn the valve to "City Water" the water goes through the valve and into a line that connects to the supply line for the trailer just PAST the water pump.

You can hook up a water line, turn it to fill and then turn on the pump and drain (pull) it out as it is filling. If the tank is full and you turn the valve to "City Water" AND turn the pump on, you will get water from city hook up AND fresh tank until the tank runs out.

Yes, but it is plumbed to only deliver water output to the faucets, either from the fresh water tank or from an antifreeze jug. You could put the antifreeze line into your "water jug" and pull water from it to your faucets, but there's no method to divert the pump output to the fresh water tank. To replumb it to divert water to the fresh water tank would be "plumbing it backwards". I suppose it could be done, but it's much easier to use a second pump and leave the trailer plumbing as it came from the factory.

I am not sure about this, but, you remove the cap over the vent line and use the vent line to fill the tank. This method is also used to sanitize the fresh water tank. I've pulled on my vent cap, not hard, and it didn't come off, at this point I decided not to force it.

That is probably the best plan, IF you can get your water supply high enough to flow into the tank. I have a 63 gallon tank in the back of my truck that I used with a previous 5th wheel to extend our boondocking time. I have not yet experimented with filling my Montana which does not have a gravity fill port.

As for the vent cap, gently spread the sides and it should pop right off; mine did.
