Suburban Furnace not working

I have brand new 2017 Hideout and the furnace suddenly stopped working. Fan comes on with AC and alone but does not come on with furnace function nor does furnace come on. Fuse is good, gas is good. Ideas?

Here are a few things to try. Put thermostat is position requesting the furnace to turn on, make sure the Fan switch is in "AUTO" I would check say your stove to make sure you are getting gas into the unit.

Normal start up of the furnace is the blower coming on first then you should hear the igniter spark then the gas light. Let us know where you are after trying some of these, I am sure others will chime in soon and will be interested in the results

ADDED: I assume other DC devices are working ??

We did all of the above - stove is fine, gas levels are fine. tried all permutations of thermostat. Worked fine a few weeks ago (right after we bought trailer), drove about 400 miles, now doesn't work.

So what is it doing, blower coming on ? other DC devices working like lights? Can you hears igniter. Obviously we are not there so other than not working you are going to have to tell what it is doing THANKS

By the way to the Forum From Western PA

Blower comes on with AC and alone, not with furnace. Everything else in trailer works fine. Can hear the click in thermostat when crosses room temp. Fuse for furnace is fine.

AC should not come on with thermostat in AUTO that I am aware of. I was referring to the clicks from the igniter in the furnace not thermostat. That is does the furnace lite at all or does it light for a while and go off again. It hard to do this without knowing what is happening as you try things unless its related back to us. Here may be another way

I would do a search on the site such as say "Furnace operation" there is plenty of information on the forum that can can help in trouble shooting

Here is only one http://www.keystoneforums.com/forums...nace+operation

In one on those posts is a step by step description of how that furnace cycles.

We are here if that does not help

If the furnace fan comes on, it has to spin at enough RPM's to close a switch called a "sail" switch. The switch has a long arm and air pressure will push on the arm to complete the circuit.
If your plugged into shore power and it doesn't light, odds are the fan is good. At this point I would take it in because there are other components that may have failed and it's a warranty fix.

We cannot find any information other then the install manual. Finally located the furnace itself but have to go thru a cabinet to get to it (we think). Bought this trailer 5 weeks ago, in a bit of an emergency - had to be somewhere for a month and leave quickly - other trailer literally came apart.... so bought this new and did not even get dealer checkout, it was still wrapped in plastic. They never got to check it out or walk us through, so we will be back in a week and let them figure it out - as long as we are not driving in a blizzard, should be fine. Thanks for all the feedback

Thanks for getting back to us. Since you did not do a walk through you may want to make up a list of other things that may need looked at. As you have seen in many posts here its getting harder to get a scheduled appointment in a reasonable time and then getting it out quickly is another issue. Good Luck

Luckily in a small town, so getting it looked at should not be an issue and we all knew up front there was likely to be a "punch list" that would have to be dealt with when we got back. Love the trailer though - Keystone Hideout 28RKS. Just spent 5 weeks in Arizona and Utah.

Having lived in your rig for 5+ weeks you probably have a good feel now what is and is not working. Having it on the the shaker table that long helps get an idea as to what is going to fall off/malfunction Dealers around here are backed up for months.

Let us know what the dealer determines is wrong with your furnace. Hope everything goes well getting the other punch items fixed too.
