2013 Laredo TT Brakes

I am finding that after the trailer has set up for a few weeks and get hooked up and leave, that my brakes are not grabbing. It is not until I have use the brakes for a while that they start grabbing.

Is this normal, figure it is from rust or some type of coating on the inner hubs haveing to wear off. It can be kinda scary until they start working.

I have found that my trailer brakes work better after the wheels have warmed up. I believe this is normal.
This is of course assuming that your brakes are properly adjusted, all 4 brakes are operating and that your bearing seals aren't leaking grease onto the brake drums.

When I towed with a 150 I use to have to adjust the controller why down because the brakes grabbed so much my wife would get sea sick. With the 350 I never feel the grab and the only way I know they work is if I need to slam on the brakes the trailer brakes lock up. I think sometimes they need to be cleaned so just use them as you pull out and drive down the street. Not different than pulling out of the driveway on a morning with a heavy dew and the truck does not stop at the end of the driveway because the brakes are wet.
