Slide Scratched floor

Hello all - newly registered to this form and just bought a 2014 Sprinter 311.
Used it twice and noticed the floor was marked up near the table where the slide slides in and out..
There are 4 line about 6-8” long. Upon checking it out we found two screw under the slide laying on the floor. Not completely sure where they came none the less we know what caused the problem.
My question is regarding trying to repair the vinyl.
It’s not ripped - just a real deep “gouge” so to speak.
Has anyone every had success in trying to repair something like this?
I was thinking of. trying to heat it up with and iron or heat gun to “soften” the lino and roll it smooth.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated

Welcome to the forum

I have had success using a heat gun on LOW. Keep the heat moving as it will destroy the lino if held in one spot too long. then use a quality seam sealer.
