Stove Hood Louver

Got a 2020 Laredo 225MK, picked it up from the storage lot and brought it home to get ready for a weekend trip. Had heavy rains over night. Went in the camper after it was home and the counter top was wet, there was a lot of water on it. Started looking around and could not figured out where the water came from. The walls where not wet. Went outside and looked around and noticed the louver on the vent for the exhaust hood is not closing. Has anyone seen anything like this. Going to have to do the dealer fix for this.

This is the outside where the leak was

I am thinking water was blown in the opening during the storm.

I have seen that happen a few times. The plastic flap is thin. Could be caused by it warping from high heat during use of the range, or running the fan without unclipping the tabs on each side, or just warping from the sun beating directly on it during storage. It is a pretty simple and inexpensive fix

Only been out on the unit once. Did not use the Stove/oven. The dealer was suppose to run the stove and oven to burn all the oil off the metal per my punch list. Will let warranty fix it

Usually the only appliances that need to be “burned in” are the furnace and the refer on LP. Common to set off the smoke alarm while the furnace is running, I use it to test the smoke alarm. As a rule I have found the Norcold refers will smell worse than the Dometic during burn in. All of that should have been done PRIOR to delivery.
