Fresh water tank?

So summer is about done. I'm getting itchy to get on the road. Humidity is down and it was only 90F today. So I vacuumed, Spic & Span'ed the counters, etc. I got to thinking...I sanitized the fresh water tank about April. I usually just keep a few gallons in it for travelling. That water has been sitting in Texas summer temps, probably growing all kinds of bugs. So I hit it with 20oz of bleach and topped it off with water till the vent burped. Ran the faucets, waited a couple hours , drained and refilled.
My question.....how long do y'all go between sanitizing??
...I don't drink from the tank.

Our season is Mat to Oct and we do it once a year. If I was in Texas like you I would probably do it twice a year like you just did.

I sanitize mine twice a year, usually in March when we start camping again from the January/February stoppage... then again after the July/August stoppage... But sometimes more often if nice weather and the itch hits me.

I usually load the tank and fill the lines then leave it sit over night.. drain, fill, drain, fill and flush the lines..

I have let it sit overnight in the past, but my schedule is getting packed so I hit it hard with the bleach.
Thank y'all for the input...
