With thin air Nitros would probably end up with some caved in pistons.

The manufacturer of a generator would be the only source for a new main jet as these are probably very specific to that type application and the maker. Most of the time they sit atop an emulsion tube that a plastic keeper fits over to hold the main jet in place in all liklihood although I am not a generator carburetor expert. I cleaned mine a couple times due to ethanol gumming. I would also guess that the OEM MAY have a "high altitude" kit for when the genny is to be operated at a higher altitude. For a motorcycle, the loss of power starts happening at about 6K ft. as the carb will start running rich due the lower concentration of air available.

Flyboy is on the mark. LOL slapping a turbo onto the generator would be a hoot! I did rejet mine but I couldn’t go with the jet recommended for this elevation. It was too lean and reduced power a bit. The stock jet was actually not fouling the plug, but I was hoping for better power. It was a pipe dream. So I ended up with a compromise. I chose that intermediate elevation jet because lean mixtures can run hotter and I will be camping at lower elevations.
