Awning windows

2019 Half Ton Cougar 21RBS

I have problems with the bedroom awning windows staying open when it is windy. The wind giggles the catch and the window catch will release and close or worse yet unlatch and fly open requiring going outside to push the window latch arm back in the slot. Removing the screen isn’t an option because of the difficulty of reinstalling it.

Any suggestions 😡😡

A bungee cord wrapped around the opening arm to hold it against the "lock notch". Been doing it that way for 6 or 7 years after the first time I had to park the truck next to the trailer to use the bed to reach high enough to thread the handle back through the slot.
