Question Wireless Backup Camera W/O monitor

I tried to find any postings about backup cameras and didn't see any yet.
so posting here.

Does anybody have any recomendations for Wireless backup cameras for the back of the rig that do NOT need to have a dedicated monitor?

I have an in dash screen that has an RCA jacks for camera input. (truck backup camera working great)

All of them I can find have a monitor that you mount somewhere in the cab.

Thanks
Kevin

Try https://www.rearviewsafety.com/

They have a large selection of cameras and other systems.

I've purchased a number of items from them over the years, and have always found their equipment to be very satisfactory.

Mine is WiFi, and I just use an old android phone for the monitor. I need the dash screen to be available for trailer backup assist. Try Crutchfield dot com.

I have looked at Crutchfield and didn't find what I am looking for when I did. I don't need a monitor is my issue. I want a camera that the receiver has a RCA out on it to hook to my current monitor. I don't want another screen

Thanks though

Thanks, they are one of the places I have looked. a lot of options but not the one I am looking for. all of their wireless systems are either Wifi to your phone (but not android auto compatible) or have a monitor. I am hoping that someone has done this before and has a recommendation of a product. I have a screen already in my dash and want to use it.

Take a look here http://www.rvcams.com/mm5/merchant.m...ategory_Code=1
I bought a system from them 8 yrs ago and still going strong after transferring the system to a new camper. Have this unit http://www.rvcams.com/p/1/70-CH.html and the sound is helpful when DW yells "stop!" right after I hear a crunch.
You can order and omit the monitor. The wiring is a rca plug so I used a simple y connection so monitor a dash unit both display signal.
Hope this helps.

Call them! They may well sell the camera you want minus the monitor. You will never know if you do not ask.

They helped me with several items not listed on the website.

RVS (Rear View Safety) sells components, kits, accessories and has an excellent Customer Service Department. As Steve suggested, give them a call. If it's a part of any system they sell, they will sell the individual component. It may cost more than you want to pay, but that's not the issue I see you raise.

Also, CTBruce (Chip) just bought a new GM truck. One of the options he added was a camera on the back of his toyhauler. You might review his posts about the addition or send him a quick PM. Since it's their system, possibly you'll find what you're looking for at the GM dealer ??

I'm very satisfied with my camera system. It is directly into my in dash monitor. I get input on left or right with the turn signals as well as left, right, and back of trailer when reversing. Not cheap, but seamless and works very well.

you may want to look for a source input switch then you can select between inputs example #1 backup cam or #2 trailer backup cam will display on the main screen if your system is capable an automotive audio/video installer could do it or advise you better

something like this but for video

I already have this exact switch installed up on the corner of my dash when the radio was put in. I have a backup camera on the back of my cab. intending on the wireless plugging into this also.

Here is the link to the system that GM is selling aftermarket for its trucks. I hope that it helps. I really like mine and am glad that I got it with my truck.
