East side of Wisconsin recommendations needed

I’m in the Milwaukee area. Looking for recommendations for short weekend trips. East side to middle of state. Thanks!

Search engines are your friend.
It would be easier to do a search and find what parks or area you want to go to, then ask if anyone has an opinion of them.

I am guessing, but I would bet there are 300 or more campgrounds and RV parks in Wisconsin.
Personally I enjoy the state park system locations.

Only if someone gas stayed there. As a rule the forum frowns on trips to Wisconsin.

Playing with you. Be patient. In the meantime, Google is your friend.

Bite your tongue, young man! Where else would you get your beer? Or your brat's?

I am about 65 miles SW of Milwaukee and DW and I like the state park system. Camping depends on what you are looking for. i.e. - full hookups, kid activities, etc. Great info at Wisconsin travel site, state park site, and like everyone has said, google it. There are many campgrounds within a 100 mile area from you. Have fun searching and try many different types from rustic to RV parks. I say, just use the camper and enjoy.

I can’t find on the state park websites. Do most have full hookup or at least electric and water? What about dump sites? Can you use any state park dump site as long as you have a sticker? (Which is how it is in MI)

Several nice campgrounds are located in Door County.

We stayed in one just south of Sturgeon Bay. As we toured the area we drove through every campground we saw. They all looked good. It's a tourism based area.
