Drive alittle west, Oregon and Washington both have many public campgrounds that have spots open. The best locations do need reservations during the summers.

Us, too. We went so far as to look at the numbers and seriously consider one that's for sale down here, but then when would we camp?

Owning a campground is too much work IMHO. I retired so I could have time to travel and camp. Besides if I owned a campground, I would have to put up with knuckleheads like me. :-)
