Smart TV

We installed a Vizio 29" Smart TV this weekend. Had full hook-up which included cable and Wi-Fi. We could get Wi-Fi on the laptop but could not get anything on the TV other than cable channels. The TV comes with Wi-Fi, Netflix and many other additions. Couldn't find anything in the manual or the set-up to get Netflix or to get on Facebook. Any ideas as to why not?

You don't mention if your smart TV was actually connected to the Wi-Fi service. I believe the smart apps are only available through the internet, not cable.

might be that it was a weak wifi sgnal and tv simply doesnt have strong enough antenna for the wifi at that location?

Most CG wi-fi does not allow streaming video because of the bandwidth required. If you can find the wi-fi signal with your laptop the tv should find it also but you will be limited to just internet and e-mail. JM2¢, Hank
