Keystone Raptor Electrical Problem

Hi,

I have a 2016 Keystone Raptor that worked fine until I took the battery out and changed it. When I installed the new one the only things that work are 2 slides and the auto level. Everything works when connected to shore power. Any help wil be appreciated.

It sounds like there's a loose/missing wire/connection between the DC circuit breakers in your electrical system. If you follow the positive battery terminal, it will go from the battery to a small gray plastic (or metal) box. That device is one of the DC mini-breakers in your system. There will be a "jumper connection" from the + side of that breaker to another breaker that is usually mounted very close together. Usually the first breaker supplies power to the safety devices, cabin interior power and remote control. The second breaker supplies power to the slides, landing gear and auto-level system. I'd guess that there's a loose wire or a "blown fuse in a holder" in that area.

Here's what one "DC distribution system" looks like. Yours may look similar or may be entirely different, but somewhere, you've got those two DC mini-breakers.

It is a common mistake when installing a battery to reverse the connections and blow the reverse polarity fuses in the panel/converter.

If he reversed the polarity then it wouldn't work on shore power. Per the OP"s description it sounds to me like a wire connection on the battery is missing. It's easily done when you have several wires that connect to the battery post. One can fall down out of site and go missing.

If you find this to be the case then reconnect and then cable tie or tape them together with electrical tape to prevent future occurrences. Personally I use velcro ties like these. https://www.amazon.com/CandyHome-Fas...3551186&sr=8-7

If you take out your phone/camera and take a picture of the connections BEFORE removing anything, you will have a reference for how to put it back together. Too later now but as stated, look for that loose wire hanging there someplace.

First, I appreciate everyone that responded with their suggestions as to what could be wrong. After hours of trouble shooting I was able to fix the problem.

One of the wires to the inline fuse had worked loose.

Have a question regarding the picture JRTJH has. I have a similar set up on my Montana High County which all those wires connect to the dual batteries. My question is that I have a on/off key type switch located in the water hook up area that I have NO CLUE what its purpose is. Nothing in my manual or what little literature that was given to me.

I assume the on/off switch in the picture is for the batteries trailer function, lights etc.

Any suggestion??
Thanks

If it is on the aft wall and anything like the Raptor it is the battery disconnect. I have the same thing on my Raptor 356.

Be advised that the battery "disconnect " is a misnomer as it doesn't disconnect everything. There are still some parasitic drains like lp leak detectors, radio memory, etc. that will drain the battery after setting a week or so turned "off".
