What kind of experience are you looking for. Most newer trailers come with this type of equalizer. I've got the CR3000 on mine. If you're comparing to an older plain steel equalizer then there's no comparison.

Agreed, I installed the dexter ( due to availability) world of difference. Worth the money for me, I installed myself, not overly onerous if you are a bit mechanical.

Ours has the CRE300 which will give 3" added travel while the CRE4000 looks to be a heavier duty and with 4" added suspension travel and would expect it t be used for a heavier trailer. Ours bottomed out with the CRE3000 - hard. It took an extra spring leaf and a 1" spacer and four 6x12 16ga metal patch plates to fix that nasty scuff. I can only guess how bad that scuff would have been with another inch of travel. Oh and that Amazon CRE4000 kit is not complete without the MorRYDE X-factor cross member to reiforce and steady the much longer lever arm hanger assembly

Lippert is the only company that supplies a cushioned equalizer for a spread axle. Check the eTrailer website.

MORryde Suspension System

Sorry to hear it did not workout for you.

Are your axle ratings greater than 5k?

The equalizer I shared a link for also works on lower capacity axles. I installed them on 4.4k axles.

While I don't currently have a 5r, I do have a custom built triple axle car hauler/cargo trailer, I bought used, so I don't have much background on its history or the suspension (don't know if it was serviced or replaced at some point before me) .

Over the last couple mornings, my dad and I replaced the stock equalizers and shackles with a Dexter E-Z Flex K71-656-00. I found my kit on Nicks Truck parts for about $350 including shipping. That was about a $75 savings over the other vendors.

It took about two hours for each side over two mornings. Relatively easy, considering I did it in my driveway. There were a couple minor hiccups (hole alignment, etc) mainly due to having on side still on the ground.

If you have any mechanic skills and tools you can do it yourself.

Gone are all the creaks and squeaks I was hearing from the old suspension, and it has wet bolts included.
