Slider storage weight limits

Hello all,
I recently purchased a 2008 33' VR1. I was able to get two 6 volt batteries in the factory tray to replace my single 12 volt, but area is too tight to get to terminals unless I pull batteries out. Not fun when they weigh in at about 70 pds each. I have a large outside storage area in my bedroom slide on the oppisite side that i would like to put the batteries in. It is large enought for me to almost crawl into, which would make battery access/maintenance much easier. My plan is to put 4 six volt batteries in the storage area, but I am concerned about putting that much weight on the slide. It would be about 280 pds in batteries, plus another 50 to 100 in hitch gear, etc. probably around 350 pds total. Is this too much for the slide to handle? Thanks in advance for all your thoughts and advise on this. M

The other thing to think about is ventilation for the batteries

I'm not familiar with that trailer but it does sound like a lot of weight to be constantly in a slide-out. JM2˘, Hank

Venting is the easy part. The batteries would still be in thier own sealed box with a 3" PVC snorkel coming out the side beside the door. Regarding the weight, the only info I can find is a couple threads or blogs on the internet with 500 lb figures. Not sure if this refers to super slides with couch and other furniture. The slide I'm refering to just has a bed on it. Although, when two people are using the bed your looking at over 330 lbs.
