He has a mobile welding shop coming this week to repair the hanger and check ALL the welds while he's at it.
I just saw the pics I shared here, but they looked a bit sketchy to me.
Meanwhile, I just washed all the bird droppings off of ours from the weekend trip.
Shade is awesome, birds, not so much!
Then, I took it to a storage facility about a mile away.
I felt like I was leaving my kid!
We're putting in a new drive, extending it about 30' farther to make more room for the trailer.
Then, hopefully, an RV carport.

Installed an RV power connect in my shop for my RV
Today I switched out a 30 bipoll Amp/ 240 volt line in my shop to a single poll 30 amp/120 volt and installed a complete RV 30 Amp connection. I park our RV under my Red Steal shop overhang. It’s concreted, with roll up doors. Fortunately for us it already had a power disconnect installed for a shop air compressor that I’m not using. I switched it to power the RV power supply, installed the new RV box and boom! Now we have full power for the RV. It can now be used as a guest house when we need it to be. My shop has a full bathroom so no need for sewer connection but, I could run the RV lines to the sewer connection for my shop, it has its own septic system that is only used by me. It’s a perfect at home setup.

Installed a 50a Progressive hardwired EMS. Found a good price on Amazon. Have been using a plug-in surge protector. Thought it was time to upgrade to better protection.

Today I added a propane level monitoring system and tested it at range on both system monitor and cell phone. Works perfectly.
Also replaced the (n)EverChill minifridge that came with the Passport with a slightly larger minifridge that actually works. Waiting on Keystone to either send me a check or a third minifridge to replace the two nonfunctional (n)EverChill's. Secured the new fridge far better than it came from the factory.
Added metal corner supports to the bedframe.
Previously I added a TPMS (tested at range, works great), carpet to the lippert stairs, rechargable motion sensing lights in the closet and bar area, a leveling system, an outlet with sealed cover on the kitchen countertop that plugs into the solar inverted outlet in the outdoor kitchen, quick connect for city water hookup, and a door knob bumper for the bedroom door.

Got it home from the stealership after 10 weeks of warranty work and installing a solar package.

Today being relative -
- Reinforced the dinette booth
- Installed more usb chargeable magnetic motion lights in various crevices.
- Installed 115v/USB outlet in the dinette booth.
- Added a cap seal to all windows (evidently they don't do this anymore?)
- Installed MaxxAir vent covers on bathroom and bedroom vents.
To date I have tried at least twelve different hinges/struts/braces for the overhead cabinets since Keystone doesn't use lock in place hinges (and apparently has no idea what they are per the support person I've been emailing back and forth with) - so far nothing that works. Ideas at this point (any viable short putting hooks on the ceiling...) are more than welcome...

Which cap seal did you use?
Any chance you could just move the hinges and catches to be side mounted?

Proflex clear...was a toss up between that and Dynaflex 230 - was able to get the proflex faster and was preferred.
I suggested that to my better half and she didn't like the idea...so...trying yet another strut that supposedly will work....so thing number 13....

I used these in my camper, work just fine:
struts
I ordered the silver ones thinking they would blend in with the white kitchen better. I didn't realize I only needed one strut in the kitchen and five struts on the brown cabinets. Probably should have ordered the black ones but we're pretty much blind to them now.

I started out with those but maybe got ones that were too big - my problem being the three hole attachment for the side - I was only going to be able to use two of the three holes in the plate in most cases....

Brought it home from temporary storage.
We're repaving and extending the drive to add a new pad for it.
Getting it ready for a week "up nort" in the U.P.
Looking forward to some cooler temps!
Glad to see that canesfan talks to the RV as well.
I'd hate to be the only one! 😂

Installed a filler valve extender on my bumper-mount spare tire.
It's a total pain to remove and install our decorative tire cover in order to air up the spare. I keep a TPMS sender on the valve so I don't get caught out with a flat spare, but it's just a continual reminder to me when the pressure isn't up to snuff.
Now I can reach around behind the tire, unscrew the sender, air up, and screw it back on, without needing to fiddle with the cover.
I chose this particular extender [LINK] for a couple reasons. One, they provided a choice of three angles for the extender (I ended up using 90°, but I had no idea what would work best until I actually had it in hand). More importantly, a lot of other models require you to remove the schraeder valve from the tire in favor of the one at the other end of the tube. This defeats the purpose of keeping your spare aired up, if when you have to put the tire in play on the road, it's going to lose all its air when you have to remove the extender tube. This model has a valve depresser at the tire end, plus a schrader valve on the end of the angle piece plus another schraeder valve at the far end of the tube.
While I was in there, I decided that the steel hold-on strip (across the hub center) needs to be replaced with the same size in a C or U channel. It's relatively soft metal that just bends outward at the ends as you joggle down the road, and the more it bends, the more the tire rattles and bends it further.

Installed catches on all the kitchen overheads to hold them open.
Installed a screen door protector on the screen door.
Cleaned up the entertainment center wiring and added a FireTV.
Had an Airlift LoadLifter Pro Ultimate system and wireless compressor installed on my truck.

Minor remodel of 2018 299RLDS
We just finished our semi-remodel of our 2018 Keystone Hideout 299RLDS. We got rid of the horrible "Pleather" recliners and sofa, replaced then with new fabric covered pieces. We also removed and replaced the ugly dinette cushions with new cushions that match the new furniture. The only issue was that the original dinette back cushions were curved so I needed to cut the backs down on the dinette to straighten the back and replaced the padded topper with a nice stained red oak board. Looks great in my opinion.

Well, this is merely a "Heloise-grade" storage hint...
If you're tired of tiny stuff rattling around in the shelf troughs of your medicine cabinet, AMAC boxes are a great solution. They're clear plastic boxes with caps that come in all sorts of sizes, and are usually used to display collectables. I went out and bought the trailer its own set today. The 4x4s fit perfectly in my Cougar's medicine cabinet to keep small stuff corralled and not tumbling out every time I open the door. The AMAC box caps do duty as shorter tray-style boxes for things you use often, like toothpaste tubes. There are three lowers and two uppers in our newly organized cabinet.
I got mine at The Container Store, but they're available online.

I installed a jabsco accumulator tank in our trailer the other day. Really straightforward and inexpensive modification. Tested it in the driveway and it appeared to perform as described. Pump was a little quieter, water hammer is gone, water flow smoothed right out, and you can get a couple flushes in with the pump off in “overnight mode”.
We have one last trip coming up to really see if it was worth it.

Sadly, winterized and put into storage. Once I marked up a calendar with all our goings on....that long weekend trip was not in the cards.
One note, this summer while the trailer was parked (for months) in out driveway I found evidence of mice for the first time. We 'evicted them' and put in the usual "mouse deterrent" that we use while in storage https://www.grandpagus.com
Basically it sat again. Inspected the trailer thoroughly and found no evidence of mice!

Brought it home from storage for good. The new asphalt pad has cured enough according to the contractor.
It was only about 2 miles, under 40mph, but I can tell a huge difference with the new truck.
