1. Added upgraded struts. We put a new queen mattress, but it was too heavy for the provided struts. Now we can use the storage underneath the mattress. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01LZA2Y4D
2. Camco handle bar. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0012GTVVA
3. Bathroom faucet. Now we can wash our hands as the previous faucet was cramped. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0835KJZ5Y
4. Bunkhouse ladder. For some reason only one side of our triple bunk had steps so we installed one on the other side. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0050EIUOY
5. Torklift glow steps. Now no camper shake walking into the camper and our toddler can climb the steps. https://www.etrailer.com/RV-and-Camp...t/TLA8004.html
6. First alert wireless connected smoke and carbon monoxide alarm. If there is a fire or carbon monoxide, all three alarms will go off. Amazon link not working.
7. Sliding door track. The old track was bent and made it hard to open and close the door. Had to cut it to size. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt...2610/204323544
8. 30 amp conversion kit. No more mouse hole. https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B000NUYZQC

I love the faucet upgrade. I’ll have to take some measurements and see if it will fit mine, thanks for the detailed list of awesome upgrades

What did you do to your RV today?

Pulled the cover off my ac dog house and cleaned the fins on the condenser.
Took my garden weed sprayer with a little dawn dish soap,to minimize my water usages on the open roof area, tossed a plastic tote inside under the opening and simply sprayed from the back to the front and top to bottom. Took a soft bristle brush and gently combed the fins in a smooth straight line to not bed any and rinsed off again in the same fashion.

Next up is looking at adding a second ac unit in the master bedroom.

Anyone Have suggestions on what’s involved or a how to video ?

Now that I have plenty of payload after moving from an F-150 3.5 EcoBoost to an F-350 6.7, I’ve been putting some heavier items on our latest travel trailer. This weekend’s project was to mount the TorkLift PowerArmor box with two new group 24 flooded lead-acid deep cycle batteries on the tongue, replacing a single group 24 dual purpose battery in a single plastic battery box.

I re-mounted my water pump on a rubber mat and placed foam pipe wrap in several locations where water lines either touched each other, or the cabinet it is hidden in.

Sure makes a difference...

Took it out of my RV shelter, removed and fixed a flat tire (leaky valve stem), added water and bleach to the holding tank and flushed all the water lines, patched another hole in the roffing material where a staple poked through and now I'm washing it! Taking a nap very shortly

Got on the roof for inspection of all the sealants and added some Dicor in suspect areas. Looked at the HVAC fins and units for cleanliness. All good there! I noticed the the screw cap covers on both sides had stated coming off. Slid the covers back into the grooves for now and am looking to replace them if they come loose on the next trip. Lubed the gears on the slides with WD-40 Silicone spray after cleaning.

Need to treat the slide seals both inside and out. Do you guys have a recommendation for cleaning and conditioning the slide seals?

What "screw cap covers" are you talking about? As for the seals you can buy spray rv seal conditioner or use a furniture polish like pledge. Apply it to a rag and wipe it on the seals.

SOLD!
Both truck and trailer.
Got what I asked for, no regrets.
It's a sellers market and had to take advantage of that.
With the cost of gas, campsites, truck registration, booking campsites, and traffic in campgrounds I felt it was time.
Truck cost me oil changes for a year and a half, made money on it. Sold trailer for my original purchase price and gained experience.
I will wait for the buyers market to come around, if it does, and capitalize on that.
Will still watch site, as a spectator now.
Thanks all that have helped.

They are the vinyl strip that fits into the channel to cover the screws along the roof line. Will try the Pledge. Thanks.

This is what I referred to as screw caps / cover:

That's a vinyl insert. They can come loose, not unusual.

Congratulations!
Wife and I discussed selling the camper, for some of the same reasons, before trading in the frontier for a Titan.

We sold the truck & 5er in Jan '19, several times since I've wished I'd have waited til now for better prices on both.
We then in late '19 started to consider a smaller setup to travel in the summers, but then COVID pretty much grounded us along with everyone else & no selection of rvs. Move forward to '21 & since the prices have become ridiculously high & the quality just as ridiculously low, so for now we're passing on a rv of any kind & may not in the future if the economy doesn't get better, which may be about 3 more years if we're not in the poor house or on the street by then.

Yes, Dan, when an individual gets as old as you are it's time to stay home, practice playing croquet with the neighborhood kids and mowing the lawn!
All kidding aside, it was fun while it lasted!

Straw hat, hawaiian shirt, baggy Bermuda's, black knee socks and sandals while riding the lawn tractor every morning, not really cutting the grass, just getting out of the house for some fresh air......

Today I extended the "Auxiliary" circuit in the bedroom to run a USB/lighter socket on my side of the bed to run my CPAP while boondocking, plus added prewire for a future Maxxair fan to replace my fanless vent. Also replaced the glaring pushbutton puck light above the bed with a third-party model that dims when you hold the button. Then I brought the sheets in to wash all the splinters and fiberglass out of them.

Very interested in the light modification.
1. I haven't figured out how to remove the covers from the puck lights
2. What light did you install?

Thanks!
