Whether or not you have that valve, you will still have a check valve at or in the pump that keeps the city water pressure from flowing backwards through the pump and filling the FW tank.
We had this happen on our first trip with the Laredo. I shut off the city water and used the pump for a day and the problem went away. May have been a "stuck" check valve or may have been some left over construction debris that was lodged in the check valve and using the pump dislodged it. Don't know - but it works okay now. If it happens again, I guess I'ii tear into the pump.
