Disconnect the shore power from the trailer.
Disconnect the battery cables.
Connect the white (ground) cable to the NEG post of the first 6 volt battery.
Using the same gauge wire as the white ground cable, connect the POS post of the first battery to the NEG post of the second battery.
Read the voltage from the neg post of the first battery to the positive post of the second battery to make sure you have 12 volts (two 6V in series)
Connect the black (positive) cable to the POS post of the second battery.
