Hi Kellie. Hope the charging of the battery worked. An inverter style generator is the way to go. An open frame generator is just too loud and obnoxious, especially if you have any other campers in the vicinity. I agree with Frank, YouTube LoLoHo. The videos are fun to watch and he has really trial tested nearly every inverter generator out there. I plan to go with the Champion this spring as I have had such good luck with the Champions I use around the farm. Think about replacing your battery with two 6v golf cart batteries before your next boondock, you will be pleasantly surprised at the added amount of electricity you can store. Hope all is fixed now and you are having some fun.
