to run microwave and tv and other appliances I would go 3000 watt to be safe. I do nothing but dry camp and I am running xantrex 3012 3000 watt inverter/charger that chargers 150 amps on one leg through the transfer switch and I put another 2000 watt on the other half of the system that's not on a transfer switch so that the satellite will wont reboot when it transfer over to generator. the system is set up on 580 watts of solar and a auto start stop 7000 watt onan gen with 800 amp hours 6vlt gpl-l16t lifeline batteries... system works great. camp in the middle of no where with the comforts of home with a touch of a button and the rest is automated.
